Lovebox, London, 15th – 16th July
For seasoned festival goers, Lovebox will have hit your radar at least once since its first instalment back in 2002. This year, we seriously suggest you take a moment to thumb through the line-up. The returning LCD Soundsystem will storm the stage, alongside top charters such as Jungle and Major Lazor. Booming club organisers, Elrow, will also host a stage which is bound to feel more like a South American street carnival than a park in Hackney.
Sunfall, London, 9th July
Set in sunny Brockwell Park, Sunfall is the new dance music festival whose lineup reads like a who’s who of London rave culture. The date is split into two halves: the chilled out, record shop daytime vibe in Brockwell, and then the cool South London night out when the sun sets.
DJs like Hunee, Jeremy Underground, Jamie XX, Moodyman and Omar S will kick off a London takeover of the city’s most important nightlife venues: Bussey Building, Corsica Studios, Phonox and more.
HOLI Festival of Colours, London, 13th August
Traditionally one of the most popular festivals in northern India, now Wembley will be the scene where people celebrate the victory of good over bad – mostly by throwing powered paint at each other. This vibrant , spiritual occasion is a relatively new addition to the London festival calendar but tickets almost always sell out so jump on them quickly.

One for the couples and families looking to escape the city, Wilderness marries great food, craft drinks and contemporary acts all in a lovely corner of nearby Oxfordshire. Feel free to dip your toes in the lake or strip off and cannonball right in, this party is all about being one with nature. A hot tip for set of the summer will be The Flaming Lips – regardless of if you’ve heard them or not, do not miss a chance to join in at their show.
